Establishing paternity means being declared the legal (biological) parent after the child is born.
Establishing paternity is important for both the child and the parents as there are likely to be emotional and psychological benefits, and potentially financial implications for all.
Paternity testing is available for both legal and private reasons. A legal paternity test is a conclusive, legally binding test that uses DNA to determine the biological parent of a child.
A paternity test requires DNA samples from the parent and the child. If the parent is not available, we are able to recreate his DNA by testing his/her biological family members or personal effects. Because every situation is different, we’ll help determine the best course of action through a one-on-one consultation.
